Friday 21st November - walks **** – Around Felixstowe with Maeva – Sunny.

Walk 1 – pick up Maeva.

No early morning today, our friend Mary rang early saying she had just seen me on the BBC doing my bit to celebrate 10 years of weather watchers I have been dreading this as I hate being that side of the camera but it was a fairly short bit and went pretty well. Being Friday it is Maeva day so after quickly doing my exercises before walking round to pick her up which is 2.5 miles in the sunshine with light winds the coat had to come off! I then packed a picnic while Mag made a cake with Maeva.

Walk 2 – Felixstowe prom.

We then drove down to Squiz Lane at The Manor end to park before setting off for a walk down to the swings which Maeva loves, it was very pleasant by the seaside in the sunshine and the breeze offshore, with the tide high the were several fisherman on the prom. I think I pushed Maeva too high on the swing but she was OK and then pack to the van to enjoy our picnic in the van and got another call from Mary to say I was on the telly again, a much longer piece this time which went even better, I didn’t make a complete fool of myself! We then went to Lidl where Maeva loves pushing the basket round! Hen home for a cuppa and cake and to watch Bluey:)

We then watched the evening BBC Look East where I seemed to take with a really long piece which included 18 photos including several of Mags famous back, so that’s my 15 minutes of fame!!! A big thank you to weather presenter Gillian and her camera James for doing a wonderful job on a rainy morning at Felixstowe Ferry:)
